On September 21, 2022, the Oscar M. Lopez (OML) Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation, Inc. will hold a virtual workshop on climate change adaptation planning for local government units (LGUs).

LEVEL-APP YOUR LCCAP: Workshop on Risk-Based Climate Planning Tools” is designed to help LGUs create science-based local climate change action plans (LCCAPs) that enable strategies toward climate change adaptation. The workshop features the  OML Center’s decision-making tools—the eCCET Helper and the Upturn Tool.

Open to all LGUs, the event will be held via Zoom from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interested participants may register through this link: https://forms.gle/SeKabcchjXMTauW99.

For other inquiries, kindly reach out to Mr. Ryan Bestre at [email protected].

This event is part of OML Center’s 10th-anniversary celebration.

eCCET Helper is a decision support tool designed for planners to help them be more climate-informed and make decisions in their disaster planning process that are evidence-, and science-based.

Meanwhile, the Upturn Tool is an online solutions platform designed to help raise awareness, understanding, and capacity of the public on climate change solutions in the country. The Upturn Tool intends to support the country’s climate change adaptation efforts by developing a platform that will allow users access data and information on existing solutions, and providing tools that will enable LGUs to assess their climate risks and identify priority adaptation solutions.
