As the world approaches its third year of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, there is now some space to assess and reflect on its impact on various sectors. How has the pandemic affected the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

In an article published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer last January 23, OML Center Executive Director Dr. Rodel Lasco reflects on how the pandemic derailed “a number, if not most, of the 17 goals”, which SDGs have suffered the most setback, and what opportunities have been presented by the pandemic in the global aspiration to develop sustainably.
