Mr. Oscar M. Lopez and OML Center Executive Director Mayan Quebral at the symbolic unveiling of the Legacy Lectures
On April 19, 2018, our dearest chairman emeritus, Oscar M. Lopez, turned 88.
OML has long established himself as one of the country’s most respected leaders in business. His contributions to the private sector span decades of enshrining public service into the core of his family’s many companies and initiatives.
Throughout his life, OML has instituted a firm belief that the sustainability of business must be grounded in distinct values, namely a pioneering entrepreneurial spirit, business excellence, unity, nationalism, social justice, integrity, and employee welfare and wellness. Only through these values can businesses be built to last and remain committed to serving society. A pioneer in his own right, OML’s own personal advocacies and passions have translated into viable business opportunities and exemplary models of socially and environmentally responsible organizations.
As OML celebrates his birthday this 2018, the OML Center is launching “The OML Legacy Lectures,” the first of what will be an annual event intended to pay tribute to our namesake and Chairman Emeritus. These engaging and audience-specific events aim to expose chosen audiences to relevant sustainability lessons whose themes are inspired by OML’s own values and initiatives.
Further information about the first event will be announced at a later time.
