Dr. Rodel Lasco, the Executive Director of the OML Center, wrote a piece on the significance of trees in climate change published by both the Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Nation on March 30 and April 2, 2019, respectively.

Dr. Lasco states that trees alone cannot solve global warming, but that they do play a role in climate change mitigation. He cites other important roles that trees play such as their preservation of natural and human ecosystems and their promotion of local climate action.
