What do scientists and environmentalists mean when they say our planet is sick? Do they really know how sick is our planet?

Lasco, Ph.D. discusses the concept of planetary boundaries, which recognizes that the earth can only operate in a relatively stable condition if certain boundaries are not breached. He proposes that our actions moving forward must consider not just local and national impacts, but also planetary perspectives.
