CALL FOR PAPERS FOR SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS
The persistence of anthropogenic activities that amplify the negative impacts of natural disasters brought about by climate change and the increasing degree of vulnerability of developing countries such as the Philippines call for immediate action that should be guided by scientific research and constructive discourse.
The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines, together with The OML Center and other partners and collaborators, has been addressing this need by successfully organizing the National Climate Conference for three consecutive years since 2012. The call for papers for this year’s scientific sessions themed “Local Adaptation Actions with Mitigation Co-Benefits” has been launched. Below are the sub-themes of the conference that will be held on September 23, 2015 (venue will be announced in due course).
The Conference is expected to produce resolutions, research and development agenda, policy actions, and a science-policy brief that can be shared to guide relevant stakeholders –specifically government agencies, in making decisions for the welfare of the Filipino people and the environment.
Authors are requested to submit their abstracts to [email protected]. Please take note that the deadline for the submission of papers is on July 15, 2015.
