New interactive storymaps launched to simplify the State of the Philippine Climate reports

The latest climate data on the Philippines is now more accessible than ever with the release of the State of the 2022 Philippine Climate (SPC 2022) StoryMaps!

The Oscar M. Lopez (OML) Center officially launched its SPC StoryMaps, an innovative digital tool that presents the findings of the SPC publication in an interactive, user-friendly format.

Starting with the content of the SPC 2022, the StoryMaps aim to enhance its users’ understanding of the key climate indicators, trends, and climate-related disasters that occurred in the Philippines in 2022 through dynamic maps, graphs, and data visualizations.

By making climate data more engaging and easier to navigate, the SPC StoryMaps also aim to support education, planning, and advocacy efforts across various sectors. The platform is optimized for different browsers and devices, and is best viewed on desktops and laptops.

Moving forward, the OML Center plans to release storymaps for the upcoming editions of the SPC, ensuring the continued access of its stakeholders to interactive and data-driven climate insights.

Now live and available for exploration, click here to view the SPC 2022 StoryMaps.
