News: Makati forum tackles innovations for resilience challenge

The private sector is in a better position to innovate and implement nature-based solutions to climate change.

This was highlighted during the back-to-back event launched by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and CRS Philippines’ Climate Resilient Cities Project, in partnership with the Philippine Disaster Relief Foundation (PDRF) on September 20 at the Makati Diamond Residences in Makati City.

Titled “Resilience Reimagined: Beyond the Boundaries of Tradition” and “Innovations for Resilience Challenge,” the events brought together climate and industry leaders who underscored the critical role of the private sector in achieving climate resilience through nature-based solutions.

OML Center Executive Director Dr. Rodel D. Lasco sat as one of the panelists of the event alongside Makati City Urban Planner, Mr. Xenon Walde, CCC Development Management Officer Gene Sophia Constantino, PDRF Emergency Operations Center Director, Mr. Arnel Capili, and CRC Nature Based Solutions Director (Conservation International Philippines), Mr. Wilbur Dee.
