Translating Climate and Disaster Information for Effective Decision-Making

The Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation (OML Center) is organizing a “Workshop on Translating Climate and Disaster Information for Effective Decision-Making” on August 7, 2014 at Richmonde Hotel, San Miguel Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The workshop aims to bring together stakeholders from different sectors; weather, climate and hazard service providers; climate scientists; policy-makers; and the media to discuss communication approaches, scientific tools, and stakeholder needs for climate and disaster information in the country. We hope to convene scientists, knowledge users, researchers and potential collaborators to help us draft guidelines/recommendations that will influence more effective delivery of weather/climate and hazard information for decision-making.
