Technical Coordinator for Project UPTURN

Primarily coordinate the development and implementation of the Center's Project Upturn

Overview

The Technical Coordinator will primarily coordinate the development and implementation of the Center’s Project Upturn. This project aims to develop a tool in assessing solutions (with focus on adaptation and mitigation as co-benefit) in terms of different metrics based on the country’s climate change-associated risks and resilience potential to help enhance climate change adaptation options available to various sectors.


The initial appointment is for a 10-month period, with possibility for extension until the project duration.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the Project’s overall methodology and design;
  • Provide technical and logistical support in the development and implementation of the overall methodology and design;
  • Assist in the development of tool in assessing solutions;
  • Liaise, assist and coordinate with the project team, internal and external experts, collaborators, government agencies and other groups in the execution of project activities;
  • Coordinate and organize team meetings, dialogues and workshops;
  • Attend to the logistical requirements of the project, its activities, meetings (includes proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, assisting in background documents and presentations, etc.);
  • Prepare and submit reports, project documentation, and specific project outputs;
  • Attend external and internal virtual meetings; and
  • Provide inputs to other related OMLC projects.



Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Economics, Environmental Science, or any other related field;
  • Knowledge in climate change and solutions a huge advantage;
  • At least three years of relevant work experience on climate change related research and projects;
  • Experience in project coordination and development;
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written skills.
  • Output-driven with excellent writing skills and strong time management; and
  • Team player and able to work independently (with minimum supervision), work simultaneously on numerous tasks, and meet deadlines.
